From the collection at the airport to our departure we found the staff to be friendly, unintrusive and professional. The management are hands on and have created a wonderful culture of service and kindness within their team. Nothing was too much trouble. The villa was spacious, clean, with the highlight of wonder, private, outside shower. I slept incredibly well.
The pool and beach area had areas to sunbathe and plenty of shade to read and escape the sun. There were all sorts of seating, softer bean bag loungers, firmer wooden ones or a double hammock if you were brave!!! My husband and I are larger people so we resisted the temptation of the hammock. We were incredibly spoilt one day when four large whales began frolicking just outside the reef.
The restaurant staff were superb, food lovely and plenty of it. A vast arrange of cocktails and mocktails (the mocktails were my thing and the staff remembered my favourites). The highlight for me with the restaurant is every evening they have live entertainment be it a solo female guitarist singing, or two male guitarists singing contemporary music; a gentleman playing piano or a band on buffet night. Talking of buffet nights - I have been to many 5 star hotel banquets. They weren't a patch on the food on buffet night and the creative way it was cooked and presented.
I have stayed in other resorts in Raratonga, some of the best. I think the culture you create, the atmosphere you provide is wonderful. In some ways I hesitate to rate you like this because I may not be able to get a villa next time I want to visit you because we will be back but you deserve such a top rating because I under-expected and you over-performed. It is a child-free resort and for us in our 50s as much as we love our children and grandchildren; was a great treat.
I can say thank you enough for my wonderful, wonderful holiday.
